United Methodist Women

Greetings from Trinity United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women is an organization of approximately one million members whose purpose is to foster spiritual growth, develop leaders and advocate for justice.  Members raise nearly $25 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.  The Women's Division is the national policy-making body of this group.

Living The Legacy a historical timeline, depicts the continuing journey of women in mission from 1869-2002. It begins with the early years of the mission societies, with a primary focus on sending missionaries and helping to change the lives of women and girls in foreign lands, and moves through the founding of home missions with a focus on the education and training of black, Native American, and Mexican youth; and work among Chinese immigrate girls and women during the 1880's and early 1900's.

"The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church."

We are women of purpose, vision, faith, and mission. Through our work and financial support, we make a positive difference to many individuals in our hometowns and communities all around the globe.
